I don’t quite understand the bank’s idea. What does it mean by this?
This is the bank director walking around naked and collecting food from trash cans. Please chip in.
It says at the end, ‘What really shocks you?’ Are the people around her more shocked by seeing her completely naked or by her rummaging through the bin for food? It’s a wake-up call. The final frame simply asks you to donate whatever you can spare to the food bank to help people in need like her.

It’s actually kinda brilliant. If you’re more shocked by nudity than someone poor rummaging for necessities, then you have weird priorities. Social mores have perverted the plot. Kinda meta. It’s also ok to be shocked by both, but the order should be why is she rummaging and she’s naked so she must need a lot of help, making her very vulnerable. Offense to nudity should be prioritized over empathy to a vulnerable human.
Poor/homeless people rummage through bins all the time. You see some homeless dude doing it and you wouldn’t think much about it, maybe pity him, maybe give him a donation, but suddenly a naked person, that would draw a lot of attention. It comes down to what the norm is, and unfortunately it’s normal for homeless people to look for stuff in bins.
Such a bullshit advert though. Everyone just stands there and looks at her like a pack of imbeciles? Obviously there’s a camera crew and everything, so it’d be clearly a stunt from the bystanders perspective, but if it was real, someone would have offered her a coat and called the authorities. This shit is too depressing for this site! :/
