I keep noticing that as soon as I upload a video, (I call them) hyenas immediately appear, stay for a moment (they probably watch the video during that time), and then disappear again without a trace.
What's so hard about clicking "Thanks" or leaving a comment?
This forum is living from active users, not from only-consumers.
Posting videos takes work (finding, sorting, uploading).
Surely you can expect some recognition for that, right?
It's not exactly motivating to be active only for the sake of passive consumers.

H.265 or other less common encodings cause problems in some browsers.

I've only recently joined the forum (but been visiting the site, old and new, almost daily for years) but I'd agree that it would benefit from a lot more activity and a lot more commenting/interacting. That being said, I can understand people not wanting to clog up every thread with "great video" or "well done on finding that" after every post. It would be nice if they used the Thanks button more, but I hope you know your work is appreciated whether or not they remember to click it.

I mostly repost old content. Nothing wrong with it.
Tbh, I like cycling through and uploading old videos so they have a chance to be seen by new eyes. What's a tired old video you've seen a dozen times might be the first time someone's ever seen it. Then it might be old, but it's become someone's new favorite!
Its a perpetual horny cycle of something new meets something old.
