Often, I don't even notice the feet. But sometimes the footwear accentuates the nudity. In the early days of Nude in Public, calf length boots were common. A few years ago there was an NIP Activity shoot in Barcelona involving a model wearing what looked like heavy duty walking boots, which I liked.
Incidentally, some of the NIP-Activity shoots at CSD parades there's broken glass on the ground and shoes are a necessity.

Bare feet all the way. Wearing shoes feels like cheating to me.
I also imagine the tactile sensations for the models. Wearing no shoes makes them aware of every step.

I absolutely love seeing women walk in high heels. The way their legs look longer and their entire posture changes is pure magic. Walking nude in public while wearing only high heels adds a touch of naughtiness, making it feel even more deliberate and provocative.
On the other hand, I don't like them barefoot, and I absolutely loathe it when women wear flip-flops or cheap sandals

I agree with you... for one thing I just don't like how feet looks. It can bother me enough that even the most beautiful woman does nothing for me if I see the feet (it's not absolute, it's fine if it's the beach or something like that). But also yeah, if she wears shoes it signals to me that it's not nudism, and also that it was a concious effort to dress this way. This IS her outfit, it's naked.
